Accolades & Accomplishments
|
The Peconic Estuary Partnership staff recently completed a two-year undertaking to update their Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP), a document that will guide their work for the next 10 years. They engaged the public and many, many partners to make sure that the CCMP reflects the priorities and needs of their watershed and local communities. Congratulations to Joyce Novak (Program Director), Elizabeth Hornstein (Environmental Analyst/ PEP State Coordinator), and Sarah Schaefer (Environmental Analyst/PEP Program Coordinator) for a job well-done.
NEIWPCC Environmental Analyst and LISS Habitat Restoration and Stewardship Coordinator Victoria O’Neill presented at the 2020 National Coastal and Estuarine Summit, hosted by Restore America’s Estuaries from Sept. 29 to Oct.1. Her session was titled “Long Island Sound Tidal Wetland Restoration: Innovation in a Changing Environment.”
