______________________________

It is difficult to believe that we have arrived at the conclusion of another school year. We would like to extend our wishes to you and your family for a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer. During the summer months, please continue to live your faith through attendance and participation in the Liturgies and the faith community programs of your parish.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the wonderful support that you have provided to our school during this school year. We are truly blessed to have such awesome students and parents to whom we provide our ministry of faith and academics. This school year has been very successful on a number of levels and that success is measured in the growth that we see in your children, our students. Your outstanding support of your children is a key factor in that success and we thank you, emphatically, for all that you have done, given and shared.

A MESSAGE FROM MRS. EDMUNDS
Thank you for the support that everyone has provided me during my time at MBS. I have appreciated the opportunity to work with such wonderful staff and families during my tenure. I wish to thank you, as well as the Catholic Schools Office, for allowing me to be a part of this amazing ministry and mission of faith and academics.

MBS has been and continues to be an important part of our family. My family has been an active part of this faith community since the 2004-2005 academic year, when Hallie started as the first PreK4 class. I have watched all three of my daughters flourish and thrive here at MBS, which has always and will continue to foster a nurturing and loving environment grounded in Catholic faith. I am forever grateful for this, as well as for the personal and spiritual growth that I have been able to personally achieve during these years working at MBS. The foundation that MBS has been able to provide for my children and family's personal and spiritual faith formation within the Catholic faith has been invaluable.

My family and I will continue to be an active part of the MBS community in the coming years. I plan to actively volunteer as well as substitute teach and help in the administrative offices when called upon. Scott and I are excited to watch Harper complete her journey here at MBS for her 8th grade year next year and Harris will continue her MBS journey as a rising 4th grader for next year. As I have been telling anyone who has asked about my leaving and questions they have had, I have responded, " I am not going anywhere." I will always be forever grateful for the time I have had here as an employee of MBS, and I am excited to be an involved parent once again here at MBS. I hope everyone has an awesome summer and I hope to see everyone in the Fall of 2018!

Mrs. Lisa Edmunds

SUMMER WORK
Our teachers will be forwarding to parents the expectations for summer work. The information will be provided to the students prior to the last day of school. In addition to the summer work that is being sent to each family, our teachers will assemble math practice packets that will be available in the school office throughout the summer. Parents may come in to pick up a packet. Math work is a requirement for ALL students. Worksheets are also available on the school's website. Students who complete the work will receive credit for doing so.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
Beginning on June 18th, the school office will observe summer hours. In doing so, our school office will be open each day from 8:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The school office will be closed on Fridays.

CHANGE OF PARISH
It is very important that you inform the school if you change from one parish to another at any time during the year. Thank you.

LOST ITEMS
With the end of the school year quickly approaching, be sure to check out the Lost and Found in the cafeteria for any missing item of clothing or other school supplies. All items that remain in the Lost and Found will be donated to charity on Thursday, June 15th.

NEW FAMILY MENTORING PROGRAM 2018-2019
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to give their time and talent to assist us in our New Family Mentoring Program. The purpose of this program is to be able to give our new families a contact to go to if they have questions or are unsure of something. This would give our new families a comfort of knowing that we are a school community and are here to welcome them with open arms. Thank you for your willingness to help and be there for these new families to make the new school year as easy and comfortable a transition as it can be for them.
For your time and talent, we will give 10 FIP hours towards the 2018-2019 school year, which will be applied at the beginning of the 3rd trimester. For more questions about the Mentoring Program or if you would like to sign up to be a Mentor, please contact [email protected] or call the school office.

HEALTH SUITE NEWS

If you send in the completed physical form, it will be filed for next year.

They need Tdap (single dose) and Meningococcal (single dose). The immunizations required for students entering kindergarten are DtaP (4 doses), Polio (3 doses), MMR (2 doses), Varicella (2 doses) and Hep B (3 doses). Vision Statement

Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School provides rigorous and technologically relevant instruction that is intentionally integrated with Catholic identity.  Together, as Pastors, administrators, teachers and parents, we nurture the development of the mind, the body, and the soul, in each of our students.  Our students are able to make sound decisions based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and modeled upon the lives of the saints.  As a faith and learning community, we teach students a passion for the truth and a love for discovery and knowledge. Our students are prepared to relate their Catholic faith to their culture and actively live their faith as members of the greater community.
