2018 Distinguished Alumni!

Our alumni are accomplishing so much. This year each high school has 3 honored alumni. Check out this year's Distinguished Alumni!

Steve Collier, Lawrence Central Class of 1973.  City of Lawrence Mayor,  Steve Collier, is a lifelong resident of Lawrence. In addition to graduating from Lawrence Central, he attended Harrison Hill Elementary and Belzer Junior High. After graduating from Hanover College, he returned to teach and coach at Lawrence North High School. Primarily teaching United States History throughout his career, he initiated LN's Advanced Placement US History program. He coached football, wrestling, and baseball for the Wildcats and served as Dean of Students, Head Football Coach, and Athletic Director during his 33 year tenure. 

After retiring from teaching, he represented the 5th district on Lawrence's Common Council from 2012-2015. He is the seventh mayor elected to lead the city. The Mayor and his wife, Chris, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this June. They have two adult children and look forward to welcoming their fifth grandchild to the family this summer.

Vince Epps,  Lawrence Central Class of 1986.  Vince is the Vice President and Senior Environmental Scientist for Metric Environmental. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. He also holds a Master's in Business Administration from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa.

Throughout his career, Vince has served in both consulting and government. His experience ranges from all areas of environmental due diligence activities. He has led major petroleum pipeline spill remedial investigations and cleanup, and managed the cleanup of some of the most complex National Priorities List Sites in the nation. Vince managed the assessment and remediation for the Keystone Enterprise Park redevelopment and was a substantial contributor to the I-69 Evansville to Indianapolis Environmental Impact Statement. In addition, he served as the senior water quality consultant to the City of Indianapolis Department of Waterworks for seven years.

Robyn Moberly,  Lawrence Central Class of 1971. On November 1, 2012, Robyn L. Moberly was sworn in as the first female Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court in Indiana. She serves as the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Indiana. Judge Moberly served on the Marion Superior Court bench from January 1997 until her appointment to the bankruptcy court. In state court, she presided over major felony court for four years and civil court for twelve years. Prior to her judicial service, she was a general practitioner for 17 years. She has been very active in the legal community, serving as President of the IU McKinney School of Law Alumni Association, President of the Indiana Judges Association, President and board member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, board member of the Indiana Judicial Conference, and Associate Presiding Judge of the Marion Superior Court.

Chief Judge Moberly has been recognized for her contributions to our community with numerous awards. She is a 1975 graduate of Indiana University. She graduated cum laude from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 1978. She is married with three grown children and three grandchildren.

John McDonald, Lawrence North Class of 1989.  John is the CEO of ClearObject, Inc. Magazine's fastest-growing IT company in Indiana for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, and winner of the 2016 Entrepreneur Magazine 360, the 2016 Deloitte Fast 500 in Technology, the 2016 CRN Next-Gen 250, and 2015 and 2016 IBM Beacon Awards, the highest honor given to a business partner. 

ClearObject is an IT Systems Innovator helping the world's best companies connect their bold ideas to the Internet of Things. Bridging the gap between inventive ideal and the constraints of push button technologies.

John holds an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Computer Information Technology from Purdue University. He serves in leadership roles for many tech related organizations. 

Jill Robinson Kramer,  Lawrence North Class of 1994.  J ill is the Vice President for Operation Strategies at Strada Education Network, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving lives by catalyzing more direct and promising pathways between education and employment. 

Jill holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, from Indiana State University; a Post-Master's Certificate of Completion, Academy for Teaching Leadership & Learning, Education, from Marian University; a Master's in Philanthropic Studies from IUPUI Indianapolis; and a Bachelor's in Communication and Spanish from Hanover College.

Jill is a board member for the Indiana Afterschool Network (Former Chair), a member of the Indiana Charter School Board, a Fall Creek Softball and Baseball volunteer, a Fall Creek Valley Middle School volunteer, and a former PFO Committee Chair for Forest Glen Elementary School.

Nikki Woodson,  Lawrence North Class of 1993. Nikki currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for the MSD of Washington Township and has led the district to become one of few nationwide to offer International Baccalaureate to all students in all schools within the school district. 

 Dr. Woodson earned her undergraduate degree from Ball State University, her graduate degree from Butler University, and her Ph.D. from Purdue University. Her appointment as superintendent made her the first African-American female superintendent in Marion County and one of the youngest in the state of Indiana. Dr. Woodson has served in many capacities during her career including teacher, special education program manager, assistant principal, principal, director of communications, director of staff development, director of continuous improvement, and assistant superintendent. 

Nikki has received numerous honors for her work in the field of education and continues to impact students. Active in the community, Nikki serves on many boards and is now serving a 3-year term on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Board of Governors. President Obama invited her to a day at the White House in 2014 as one of 100 superintendents chosen nationwide to the first ever Future Ready White House Summit.

Antoine Wynne, 
Lawrence Central Class of 1984. Antoine   has been named the Lawrence Central Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Antoine currently works at Brook Park Elementary, where he serves as the Behavior Mentor to our students. His prior coaching and officiating experience will be a plus for the team. Alicia Stevens, Lawrence North Class of 1988,  and  Emily Stevens,  Lawrence North Class of 2014.   Check out the Mother-Daughter teaching duo changing the lives of LT students! Alicia (right) has been teaching in Lawrence Township for 26 years and is currently teaching at Crestview Elementary School where she began her career as a student teacher! Her daughter, Emily (left), graduated from Ball State in December of 2017 and is now teaching at Crestview as well! Emily's passion for teaching came from watching her parents' influence on children in early education. We love our LT family.
 

Danielle Shockey ,  Lawrence Central Class of 1991.  Not only did Danielle attend Lawrence Township Schools, she served as the  principal at Forest Glen and Brook Park Elementary Schools. Recently she was named CEO for Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. Their chapter serves 30,000 girls and 12,000 adults over 45 counties. Congratulations Danielle and thanks for continuing to impact our youth!


Lora Danielle "Dana" Stockton, Lawrence North Class of 2007.  Dana and Richard Walker Larson recently announced their engagement. Dana is an assistant principal at Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School in Indianapolis. The wedding is set for September in Noblesville. Congrats to the happy couple.  



Matthew Glick, Lawrence Central Class of 2010.  Matthew recently got  engaged to Emily Blake of Pendleton, IN. Matthew and Emily met during their first year of medical school. If that isn't exciting enough, Matthew will be graduating from IU School of Medicine on May 12 and will be staying in Indianapolis to do his residency in Internal Medicine. Emily will be doing her residency in Obstetrics-Gynecology.  WOW! What a fabulous year for this happy couple.


McKenzie Meares Lawrence Central Class of 2010.  McKenzie got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Phillip Newbill. McKenzie and Phillip met at Indiana State University. McKenzie went on to Eastern Illinois University to complete her Speech Pathologist Degree. McKenzie has been working in Lawrence Township since graduating as a Speech Pathologist and impacting the lives of Lawrence Township kids. Congrats McKenzie and Phillip!
