Ironbark Ciderworks opened in Claremont on November 1st, 2017. Although Ironbark is the name of an Australian tree, we have deep SoCal roots, so our cidercraft is all about natural, healthy ingredients with the lowest possible calories. We always ferment our cider to dry, which means it contains absolutely no residual sugar, we don't have to use sulfites or any other preservatives, yet the flavor of the fruit, hops and herbs stands loud and proud right up front. Our aim is to keep all the potentially harmful additives out of our cider. If it's better for you, it's better for us. That's why our motto is "Drink it DRY!"
At Ironbark Ciderworks we are obsessed with producing cider that is fun, tasty and yet mindful of your health. We are constantly crushing and pressing mini batches of varietal apples and other fruit in search of new outrageous blends for our tasting room guests. We do a bunch of new seasonal flavors and styles every quarter, from light irreverent ciders to some serious traditionals. For this summer season, we're already fermenting a mojito cider, and we're also experimenting with a lychee cider, a prickly pear cider, a Pabana (passionfruit, banana, mango, lemon), and a toyon berry cider.
The toyon cider is for the Brew Wild Beer Festival at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden on June 23rd, which will be a lot of fun. We'll also be at the Craft Beer Walk on June 2nd in the Village. We hold a yoga on tap class every month and we host workshops. In fact, tonight we're hosting a succulent workshop called, "No Pricks Allowed!" We try to have live music at least once a week. Last week, the gorgeous Claremont duo, Stacey & Steve played, which was so groovy, and we have bands booked every weekend for the next couple of months.
Cider is warming in the winter, and so refreshing in the summer, so if you crave a light, delicious, low carb, gluten-free alternative to beer, wine and spirits, come visit us at the Ironbark Cider tasting room: 1420 N. Claremont Blvd, Suite 107B, Claremont, CA 91711.
