Cole Needed Heart Surgery

Newborn Cole was in the hospital withdrawing from drugs when doctors diagnosed a life-threatening heart defect. With his mother at drug treatment, Cole's grandmother agreed to take on his complex care. For the next year, Cole's advocate Leslie walked the family through the child welfare system, offering support at every turn and even waiting in the hospital waiting room as Cole's doctors tried to repair his heart.

Dallas CASA Classic Tournament Raises $1.74 Million

The Dallas CASA Classic, an invitational golf tournament co-hosted by AT&T, Goldman Sachs and Pioneer Natural Resources on April 30, raised $1.74 million for Dallas CASA and the children we serve.  "Dallas CASA has grown tremendously in the last 20 years, and much of that growth is directly attributable to the generosity of heart and spirit displayed at the Dallas CASA Classic," said Kathleen LaValle, Dallas CASA's executive director and president. "AT&T, Goldman Sachs and Pioneer set a new standard for corporate partnerships, and the children of Dallas are the direct beneficiaries of their incredible commitment."  Read more at The Dallas Morning News .
