I Filed a 2018-2019 FAFSA. Now What?
Within 1-2 weeks from submitting a FAFSA, the financial aid office will send you an email notifying you of your next steps. Check your InSite Portal to see if you need to submit financial aid documents for the 2018-2019 application year. All forms and/or documents received by the financial aid office can take between 4-6 weeks to process. Once your forms are processed, you will be notified via InSite email of your financial aid eligibility.

Has Your Income Been Reduced Since The 2016 Tax Year?
Although the 2018-2019 FAFSA is based on 2016 income,  if their income has changed significantly, s tudents can meet with a financial aid advisor to reevaluate their eligibility . Please contact your financial aid advisor to schedule an appointment to review your options.

Select your Financial Aid Funding Option Today!
Los Medanos College has contracted with BankMobile Disbursements to issue student financial aid. The new disbursement/refund program will give you the following options for receiving your financial aid:
  • Electronic Deposit to Your Personal Bank Account (ACH)
  • Electronic Deposit to a BankMobile Vibe Account
  • Paper Check Delivered by USPS
Since all students MUST select a refund delivery preference from the options listed above, h ere's what you need to do:

BankMobile will mail a Refund Selection Kit to the current address on your student record. To ensure that LMC has your current mailing address, please sign onto the InSite App to verify your address by selecting "Settings", then "View/Change Contact Information". Select "Add New Address" if you need to submit an address change.

2. Look for the green envelope.
Look for your Refund Selection Kit. It will arrive in a bright green envelope to the address on your student record and contain instructions for selecting your refund preference.

3. Sign onto InSite to make your choice.
Once your kit arrives, sign onto the InSite App to select how you would like to receive your money. Select "Financial Aid", then "My FA Disbursements", and then "BankMobile - First time Setup."

For more information, visit BankMobile

Important Message: Los Medanos College has ended service with our previous disbursement provider, BlackBoardPay. Any students with the Money Network CollegeCash prepaid debit card are notified that the card and ATM access will no longer work beginning June 1, 2019. This gives students a year to spend their funds or transfer funds to a personal bank account. To transfer remaining funds to a personal bank account, call Money Network at 1-800-822-4283. If you take no action, a paper check will be mailed with your remaining balance after June 1, 2019.
