PANTHER PROWL
Week of March 25th, 2019
Baseball had a successful season opening trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The team finished the trip 2-0. The Panthers first defeated The Potomac School 4-0. Zach Hamilton '19 pitched 4 innings giving up 1 hit. John Dubusi '19 pitched 2 innings giving up 2 hits and Adam Ferdock '20 threw 1 inning and gave up no hits. Tyler Petery '20 added two hits and Sean Lapree '19 knocked in a run. The second game of the trip the Panthers took on Boys Latin from Maryland, the 2018 defending Maryland state champions. Brett Leighton '19 pitched a complete game, which was also a no-hitter! Through out the game Leighton struck out 6 batters, walked 1 and hit two batters. The Panthers defeated Boys Latin 3-0 with some timely hitting provided by Jack Cossa '19 and Tyler Petery '20 .

Boys Tennis opened their season at home on Tuesday 3/19 against Upper Perkiomen. The Panthers couldn't overcome the Tribe and dropped the match 7-0. The team will take the court three times this week.

Softball had their first scrimmage on Monday 3/18 against Springfield Township. After a slow start the girls were able to over the Spartans and won 15-5. Freshmen Allyson Hourigan '22 and Senior Grace Harvey '19 helped the team by contributing a triple each in the scrimmage.

Girls Lacrosse had their first scrimmage on Thursday 3/14 at Daniel Boone. The girls were able to out score Boone and come home with some confidence. On Monday the girls took on Springfield Township. The girls couldn't fight off the Spartans and lost their second scrimmage.

Boys Lacrosse had their first scrimmage Friday 3/15 at Daniel Boone. The young squad played a solid game and was able to defeat Daniel Boone.

Baseball
The baseball team traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC for their second annual spring training trip. In their second game, Leighton pitched a no hitter and complete game against Boys Latin of Maryland, striking out 6 batters. The Panthers won the game 3-0.

Attention all athletic parents! We are looking for parents that can help in the snack stand for the spring season! The proceeds from the snack stand benefit all sports and if we want the snack stand to keep working, we need all parents to help. Students can earn service hours in the snack stand as long as a parent is working with them.
