You are invited to join us tomorrow evening for a film screening 7-9pm on Saturday, March 23rd for Terra Firma: A Night of Screenings organized by LAZO & Óscar Moisés Díaz, featuring the work of nine artists: Constanza Alarcon Tennen / Melvin Audaz / Cristobal Cea / Mauricio Esquivel / Joiri Minaya / Eduardo restrepo / Rodrigo Valenzuela / Ana Vaz / Flavia Visconte

We are excited to share a special screening of a documentary short about our Garbagia Project.

From 6-7pm there will also be screenings by students of The Cooper Union School of Art.

VOTE WEEK for the New York City Council's Participatory Budgeting

March 30 - April 1st

Participatory Budgeting (PB) allows neighbors to directly decide how to spend $1 million from our Councilwoman, Carlina Rivera's, council budget to fund capital improvements in our communities, like park upgrades or school renovations. It's a yearlong process that includes idea collection, public meetings, NYC agency feedback, and public voting. It's grassroots democracy at its best!

Anyone who lives in District 2 and is at least 11 years old or in the 6th grade can vote.

Loisaida is pleased to be a poll site where you can vote! Please stop by anytime Monday - Friday from 10am - 5:30pm.
