Jarrett Walker, PhD, is a transit planner who focuses on policy and design. He authored

He has worked in multiple cities throughout the world and now runs a consulting firm, Jarrett Walker & Associates.
The evening's lecture focused on freedom in transportation choices, planning, and the idea of developing cities to better serve transit systems, not personal automobiles. New technologies and their potential positive and negative impacts were also discussed. FIT plans to continue to offer lectures on transportation through the F. Alan Smith Distinguished Lecture Series.
