SPRING 2019 NEWSLETTER

Thank you to everyone who completed the Partner Survey distributed via Survey Monkey at the beginning of the year. We learned that while our members are all on different parts of their long-term giving path, one thing remains constant.....a desire to learn more. Be it via lunch and learns, one-on-one conversations, new opportunities for collaboration between nonprofit and adviser members, or mentorship, we are a group of dedicated professionals who wish to learn and do more. As such, please take time to review the valuable resources available to you as a member as well as look for opportunities to collaborate with one another.

For example, the resources (videos, sample social media posts, etc.) from the Leave More Than Footprints marketing cam paign remain available to you. Determine ways you can continue to use them within your own business or organization.   Resources can be accessed at: http://bit.ly/LALYCDigital .   Additionally, a complete listing of last year's monthly marketing tips are also available here.

Perhaps you are a nonprofit member looking to enhance your knowledge and skill set in the area of long-term giving. Did you know that one of the benefits of membership is asking to be paired with a CFRP for mentorship? If you haven't yet taken advantage of this opportunity, please let Kendall Menzer or Victoria Connor at the York County Bar Association know of your interest.

Thank you for your continued participation in Leave a Legacy. Together, we will leave more than footprints.

If you're a nonprofit organization in York County, the time to start planning your project is NOW. Brainstorm with your team about your needs, and then register your project by Friday, April 12. Painting, landscaping, cleaning, reading to kids or engaging with seniors are all possibilities! Find more information and register at

Cleaning - We are in need of a volunteer to help clean our office, shopping floor, and break room on a weekly basis.
Hunger Free Monday Food Collections at Select York Revolution Ballgames - Every Monday home game, those who bring a non-perishable food donation to the ballpark will receive a free ticket to that nights' game. We need a volunteer to assist in handing out the free ticket vouchers and placing the food into our van.

And to all LAL Partners - when you are planning or marketing your events, be sure to post them on the United Way's Community Calendar.
