WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
April 30, 2018
Patriotic Dress Day for the Honor Flight:
We join our partner schools to help raise awareness and money to provide a special opportunity for our local veterans to take an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Students are invited to participate in Patriotic Dress Day (red/white/blue shirt, khakis, tennis shoes) on Monday, May 7 with funds raised going toward the Honor Flight. $500 will send one veteran on the Honor Flight. Please consider a gift of any amount to help. Donations can be brought to your homeroom teacher!

Honor Flight of Southern Indiana is the 133rd Honor Flight Network. This is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.  For more information, visit  www.honorflightsi.org .

Students arriving early must enter the main doors (front circle) and report to the Cafeteria for study hall. First block begins 9:35 AM.
4th Annual Riley Dance Marathon:
May 4, 2018 marks our 4th annual Dance Marathon for Riley Children’s Hospital.  This event represents a year’s worth of work-- fundraisers, give back nights, donations, and sponsors. All proceeds go to support the work of Riley Children’s Hospital. Last year, we donated over $36,000. As a school community we believe in fighting for the kids, helping to provide hope and health to those in need.

Students can register to attend using their Google Classroom Doors open at 6:30 PM and the event ends at 11:00 PM.  That night, students will listen to patient stories, eat, play dodgeball, dance, and celebrate life while honoring those who struggle with the basic health we too often take for granted.

If you would like to make a donation, please contact Mr. Wetzel, Mrs. Wetzel, or Mrs. Hudson:
