Greenway Health is adding 104 new employees and investing $1.8 million in expanding its headquarters at 4301 W. Boy Scout Blvd. The new employees are already in place in the company's software development and training, legal, cyber security and marketing departments, bringing Greenway Health's Tampa-based staff to 494. Cushman & Wakefield recently published its Q1 2018 Tampa Office MarketBeat Report. Westshore's overall vacancy rates are reported at 9.4%, and the District continues to lead Hillsborough County with the highest asking rent rates. View the full report.
St. Joseph's Hospital has broken ground on a $126 million expansion at its site on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Plans include a new six-story tower with 90 private patient rooms, a two-story lobby with drive-up front entrance, and connecting bridge to St. Joseph's Women's Hospital across the street. MORE
Liberty Investment Properties Inc. has opened Extra Space Storage, a 550-unit self-storage facility at 4907 W. Cypress St. MORE
GrillSmith, the Tampa-based American restaurant brand known for grill-forward, refined-casual comfort cuisine, is slated to open this month at 612 N. Dale Mabry Highway. MORE
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers recently announced the fourth phase of Raymond James Stadium renovations, focusing on upgrades to the East Stadium Club. The redesign will include 162 televisions, new bars at both ends of the club lounge and a new 8,000-square-foot premium sports bar in the East Atrium. MORE
Tampa City Council has given preliminary approval to the rezoning for Midtown Tampa, a half-billion-dollar project at the southeast corner of 1-275 and North Dale Mabry Highway. Plans for the 1.8 million-square-foot site include 240,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, 750,000 square feet of Class A office space, 400 condos or apartments and a 225-room boutique hotel. The second hearing and final approval is expected this month.
