Poudre School District update | Thursday, December 3, 2020
Here's hoping everyone had a little time to rest and recharge over fall break. Thank you, to our students, parents, families and communities for all you’re doing and continue to do. This year would not be possible without partnership among all.
PSD and the Food Bank continue distributing meals for free to students
When PSD is in Phase1 Remote Learning, meals will be available for students to pick up at designated school and mobile sites. The USDA extended its reimbursement program through the end of the 2020-21 school year, instead of through December as previously communicated. The district will provide free meals to PSD students. How COVID-19 case protocols shift in Phase 1
Although PSD is in remote education, staff and some identified students with additional needs will still be in our buildings. Our COVID-19 Response Teams will continue contact tracing assessments during this time, in accordance with health department guidance.
We anticipate some of PSD’s current protocols may need to be updated following newly updated Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment guidance for schools. If changes need to be made as a result, new versions of the protocols will be available on the following web pages, as applicable.

PSD students experiencing homelessness
The COVID-19 pandemic and this year’s unprecedented wildfire season impacted many Poudre School District families, displacing some from their homes or putting them at risk for homelessness and not being able to meet their basic needs.
Over 900 PSD students have already been identified this school year as qualifying to receive services related to homelessness, and you can help. Read more >>
PSD Student Connections Survey

We believe it is critical that our students feel connected in PSD; in fact, it is so important that the district tracks specific connections-related data to help determine how best to support students.
The fall 2020 PSD Student Connections Survey opened Nov. 30 and runs through Friday, Dec. 11. Parents can help PSD by asking their fifth- through 12 th-grade students to check their PSD email accounts for an email with the subject line PSD Student Connections Check-In Fall 2020.”
Email reminders have gone out this week and will continue through Dec. 11. Staff at schools may also be reminding students of this opportunity to give principals feedback regarding connections with adults at school, peers, and their interests and passions.
