Easter
I
t is often a time when extended family come together. I first introduced my husband to my Michigan family at Easter time. We spent the night at my Grandma’s house in Ludington. We had a snowball fight Easter morning before attending the Lutheran church service with Grandma. Many of my cousins participated in that snowball fight with us. It is a family memory we share that still makes us smile!
A longer-ago Easter memory involves a sunrise service at a Methodist church in Summerville, South Carolina. The church was directly across the street from a graveyard. Being present as the sun came up, and talking about Christ’s resurrection in that peaceful setting left a permanent impression on me.
Have you considered what you can do to make this Easter memorable? What Easter traditions do you enjoy and want to repeat? What Easter traditions need to be let go? Is there someone without local family that you can share your Easter with?
'Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.’
