STEM Showcase Highlights


Students, teachers, parents, and administrators from all of our schools attended this year's districtwide STEM Showcase, viewing and participating in more than 60 different learning demonstrations and interactive activities. Tickets for EMS ISD's Fine Arts Showcase at Bass Performance Hall are now on sale through the Bass Hall box office.

  • Ticket Prices: $28 for one concert or $33 for both concerts (Plus additional fees for phone & online purchases)
  • Show Date: Monday, February 11
  • Show Times: Elementary Choirs & Middle School Theatre at 6 pm, Middle School & High School Choirs & High School Theatre at 8:15 pm

Greenfield helps set Guinness World Record


Second, fourth, and fifth-graders from Greenfield Elementary helped the World Sport Stacking Association set a new Guinness World Record for the most people speed stacking cups in one day around the world.  The 150 students that participated on November 8, 2018 were part of 624,390 people stacking in multiple locations that day. Healthier US Schools Challenge Award


The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has recognized EMS ISD as a winner of the Healthier US Schools Challenge award. The Healthier US School Challenge: Smarter Lunchrooms is a voluntary certification initiative recognizing schools enrolled in Team Nutrition that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity. A total of 150 schools in Texas were recognized, with Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD schools making up 10 percent of that number. 

The application was completed by the Child Nutrition Department with assistance from the Athletics Department. To acknowledge their achievement, the winning schools will receive an award plaque, a banner to display, and a small monetary incentive award. How do I get mentioned in "About Our People"?

We want to help you share the great news! Submit items for "About Our People" to Chelse Westbrook, Communications Coordinator, at cwestbrook@ems-isd.net. 
  
Examples of submissions for "About Our People" include employees who:
  • Receive awards for their professional accomplishments
  • Are elected to serve in professional organizations
  • Give presentations at meetings/conferences
  • Publish articles or books
  • Receive grants or are selected for scholarships  
  • Showcase a department, campus, teacher, program, coach, etc.
