We are in receipt of a petition to place three additional candidates on the ballot for our upcoming election.
According to NABOR bylaws this means that the election on August 2nd will now be conducted by paper ballot, not voice acclamation as is customary for an uncontested slate of candidates.
We have consulted the National Association of REALTORS® for their guidance as we have never had a challenged slate before and want to be sure the election is conducted properly and fairly.
We ask for your patience while we verify the signatures on the petition and work through the logistics challenges of the actual vote:
• We have 2,661 members eligible to vote in this election.
• Our bylaws state that the vote will be taken during the annual meeting. Our meetings last just over an hour.
• By order of the Fire Marshal, we can have no more than 273 persons in our facility.
• We can only park 155 vehicles.
