New Date: Clear Creek Watershed Community Meeting

Houston, TX - Council Member Dave Martin would like to make Clear Lake residents aware that the Clear Creek Watershed Community Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at El Franco Lee Community Center, 9500 Hall Road, Houston, Texas, 77089. 

Of the five watersheds within District E, there are three upcoming watershed community meetings. 
  • Greens Bayou Watershed: Saturday, June 16, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Magnum-Howell Center, 2500 Frick Road, Houston, Texas, 77038.

  • San Jacinto River Watershed: Tuesday, July 10, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Kingwood Community Center, 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77345.

  • New Date: Clear Creek Watershed: Tuesday, July 17, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the El Franco Lee Community Center, Houston, Texas, 77089. 
If you are unsure which watershed you reside in, please visit the interactive map . The m eetings will conclude August 1, allowing time for county officials to finalize the bond package for voters. 

Yesterday, June 12, Harris County Commissioners Court approved to place the $2.5 billion flood bond issue on the August 25 ballot, asking voters to finance a 10 to 15 year program of flood mitigation projects that include drainage improvements, upgraded warning systems, infrastructure repairs, home buyouts, and construction of more detention basins.
