Promote Frozen Food Safety
March is Frozen Food Month ! It's a great opportunity for BAC Fighters to educate consumers on the importance of handling frozen foods safely .

Here are some food safety messages you can copy and paste: 
  • Planning to use frozen veggies? To ensure proper preparation of any dish, follow the package instructions for thawing and cooking them to perfection. Learn more: http://bit.ly/2LOEtaU #FoodSafety

  • Thaw frozen foods in the refrigerator, in the microwave or in cold water. Never thaw at room temperature and never refreeze something that has been thawed once. Learn more: http://bit.ly/2LOEtaU #FoodSafety

  • When preparing frozen foods in the microwave, on the stovetop or in the oven, the "standing time" is an important part of the food safety process, as your food may continue to cook once it is removed from the heat.Learn more: http://bit.ly/2LOEtaU #FoodSafety
