Jewish Teach-In on Migration
The Tzedek Minyan, in collaboration with Loyola's Jesuit Social Research Institute and the Congreso de Jornaleros/Jornaleras, is hosting a teach-in to connect members of our community with the lives and stories of people who have immigrated to the United States from Latin America. Come learn about America's current immigration system, what our tradition has to say about the mitzvah of welcoming the stranger, and the life experiences of people who have recently migrated. The session will conclude with a discussion of how we, as individuals and as a community, can engage more deeply with this issue.
