Window Fashions has completed the installation of the window shades in the Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Sciences Building on the Greenbrier Valley Campus. This was a project funded and supported by the WV Higher Education Policy Commission/ Richard Donovan.

Garrett Cool earned second place on his project, Inflation Creation, in the Glade Creek Elementary Science Fair. He used a New River Hawks balloon to demonstrate his findings.

Applications are being accepted
|
Applications are now being accepted for both the practical nursing and medical laboratory technician programs. The deadline for MLT is April 30, and May 31 for PN.

Get involved - Volleyball 4 Autism
|
|
If you enjoy playing volleyball or cheering on teams, plan to attend Volleyball 4 Autism, a fundraiser for The Un-Prescription organized by New River Community and Technical College students, on Saturday, April 6 at Memorial Baptist Church Gym, 1405 S. Kanawha St., Beckley.
The 2019 event will have two divisions, one for those who play regularly and one for those with less experience. Registration for teams of eight adults is $100 if registered in advance or $150 at the door, and youth group teams can register for $80 in advance or $100 at the door.
The tournament will kick-off at 9 a.m. with a proclamation from Beckley Mayor Rob Rappold, a light it blue blackout and the battle for the net challenge between the West Virginia State Troopers and the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department and Beckley City Police and Beckley Fire Department.
Team registration will begin at 8 a.m. Free child care will be available, and children will be able to participate in an Easter egg hunt.

The New River CTC welding department is putting the finishing touches on the display case for the New River CTC Brick Campaign. We want to thank each of the generous donors that contributed to the campaign and most importantly, for your patience in dealing with the delays. Once completed, there will be an unveiling ceremony in the Rotunda of the Raleigh County Campus.

- Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2020 is April 2 through May 15. Kenny Smith, our benefits point-person, will be coming to your campus in early April to present changes on insurance coverage for the upcoming year.
- In partnership with the WVU Extension Service, the Workplace Wellness Committee is bringing you a five-part lunch and learn series beginning April 9, Stress Less with Mindfulness. The sessions will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for five weeks. Join us via Zoom from your computer or in the designated room on each campus: R201, G207, M110, N109, T302.
- Reminder: Modified Summer Work Schedules are due to Human Resources (with supervisor signature) by April 24.
