M HS Students in the News
MHS students have been speaking out during recent panel discussions and demonstrations, gaining recognition in the local news media.
Miss Hall’s is excited to share that we are partnering with the nationally recognized organization Girls Who Code to host the two-week summer program called Girls Who Code Campus. The beginner to intermediate coding course for middle school girls will run from July 16 through July 27. Please help us spread the word !


ALL-IN APRIL CHALLENGE
The MHS All-In April challenge celebrates teamwork. It also celebrates your daughters coming together to change the world.  

In the race to 214 gifts — one for each amazing MHS student — the class of 2021 is in the lead, with 2019 close behind:

2021: 17 gifts, $29,000 to date 
2019: 17 gifts, $22,250 so far
2020: 13 gifts, $7,370 and counting
2018: 11 gifts, $6,592 and revving up!

Can we count you in?  We hope so. Because there’s nothing more rewarding than rolling up sleeves and getting your hands dirty.

Music Department Events
Please join us for these events from the Music Department. Both concerts will be held in Centennial Hall.
  • April 20: Jazz & Rock Night - 8:00 p.m.
  • April 24: Classical Music Night - 6:30 p.m.
MHS students  Anna Kim ’18 and Tiffany Luu ’18 will take to the stage on April 29, hosting a benefit fundraiser to support a local nonprofit organization.

G rade 9 Power of Poetry (POP!)
For families of day students, we invite you to attend a special presentation from the 9th grade English classes on Friday, May 4 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. More information to come.
Commencement Weekend
The class of 2018 will be celebrated during Commencement Weekend, June 2-3.
  • June 2 at 5:30 p.m. - Awards Banquet
  • June 3 at 11:00 a.m. - Commencement
Attendance is required for all students. More information to come.
REMINDERS AND UPDATES
College Fair - April 18
From the Office of College Counseling for Parents of Juniors: Please encourage your junior to attend the Hotchkiss College Fair  tomorrow, Wednesday night ! Students were emailed an invitation last week and can still contact Courtney Hatch Blauvelt or Sarah Virden to sign up!  
For Families of Juniors:
A reminder for families of juniors that senior class ring orders may be placed directly through the jeweler and are due on June 30. More information here.
For Families of Seniors:
Yearbook Pages deadline EXTENDED to this Friday, April 20

Every year, parents, guardians, and grandparents of the seniors contribute pages to  Hallmark , the School's yearbook. These pages could include photos, quotes, and messages submitted as JPEG or PDF by email.  The due date for these pages is April 9 .

Full Page 8.5" x 11" - $200
Half Page 8.5" x 5.5" - $150
Quarter Page 4.5" x 5.5" - $125

As we call your daughter's name on June 3rd to receive her diploma, we read a brief comment from one of her childhood teachers... usually a surprise for her! Start the search now for the elementary school report cards or comments from teachers or coaches. Use this form to submit your quote by May 15 .
To assist families with advance planning, vacation and long weekend dates for next year are available here.
During the last few years, the School has seen a significant increase in the number of items being stored by our students over the summer. Due to this increase, along with our growing enrollment, Miss Hall’s School will be partnering with All Campus Storage (ACS) to provide summer storage and shipping services to all interested students. Campus Utility Challenge
Energy Saving Tip Number 6
In December, MHS introduced the Campus Utility Challenge. The goal is to encourage the entire MHS community to reduce their electrical usage. The tips will be shared here.
