Allison and Fernhill Casano at the Carolina International

Two weeks ago Allison and her team packed up and headed to Raeford, North Carolina, for the prestigious Carolina International. The weather was sub-par with extremely chilly temperatures and rain but the hospitality made up for it and once again the Carolina Horse Park went above and beyond. The Lord Willing Syndicate's Lord Willing and the Athlone Anto Syndicate's Fernhill Casano both tackled their first CIC3* and while Saturday's cross country didn't go the way Allison was hoping, she was extremely proud of how hard both horses tried on a course that was more suited to horses getting ready to tackle Kentucky in a couple of weeks.
While the event may not have gone according to plan for Fernhill Casano and Lord Willing, the Business Ben Syndicate's Business Ben had a super run in the CIC2* division. After putting in one of his best FEI tests yet to score a 29.3 and sit tied for fourth overnight, he followed it up with two confident jump phases to finish in the top 15 in a massive division. Allison was extremely pleased with how well he handled the challenge and the commentators had nothing but good things to say about this talented horse.
Now, Allison will turn her sights to the remainder of the spring season. Just recently both Lord Willing and Fernhill Casano had confident trips around the Intermediate at the Morven Park Horse Trials with Liam even winning the division! They both proved they are ready for the events ahead and Allison was thrilled to feel them so confident again. On to the next!
