Congrats, Peabody!

We are thrilled to once again have been selected as a winner in the Family Favorites edition of Charlottesville Family magazine! Thanks to everyone who voted, and thanks to our Peabody teachers and staff who work so hard to ensure we win every year! :)
Let There Be Light Exhibition

The annual Let There Be Light exhibition is tonight!. Usually the exhibition of light oriented artworks is located at PVCC. This year it will be held at multiple locations around Charlottesville. Chris Haske, the K-3 technology teacher, has an interactive technology-oriented artwork in the show.

WHEN: Saturday, December 5th, 6 – 9 PM. That is tomorrow!

WHERE: Multiple locations throughout Charlottesville

Why go?

It is something you should go to because it is consistently one of the most engaging, child-friendly art events of the year in Charlottesville, and it is free! In the past Mr. Haske has worked with students to create a piece for the annual show which was just not possible this year.
Transition to Remote Learning

Peabody will start remote learning for all students in grades K-8 starting on Monday, December 14th. After the Winter Break, in-person classes are scheduled to resume on January 20th. We will be releasing all information about remote learning on Wednesday, December 9th. Please be on the lookout!
Ergonomics Workshop on December 9th!

2020-21 Annual Fund

Thank you to everyone who participated in Giving Tuesday! Our staff went home today with a yummy treat from Bowerbird Bakeshop!

Your participation in the Peabody Annual Fund provides essential operating support to Peabody. The generosity of our community supports almost everything that keeps Peabody running, from salaries and classroom technology to arts and supplies. This year, we are also faced with increased expenses for items such as technology infrastructure upgrades, outdoor learning spaces, additional cleaning supplies and protective equipment, and additional aid to Peabody students and families who felt the financial impact of COVID-19. We hope that you will support Peabody in this area and that you will keep in mind that your Annual Fund gift, of any size, really matters to the school.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of a gift to Peabody School for the 2020-21 year and for being such strong supporters of our wonderful school!
Original Works

It is time for Original Works! This is a creative opportunity to support your child and the Peabody art program through the Original Works organization. Capture a moment in time by ordering custom keepsakes featuring your child’s very own masterpiece! This year we are offering the option of online ordering and direct shipping to your home making the process simple, safe, and convenient. Original Works offers mugs, magnets, tote bags, ornaments, and this year they have added face masks to their products!

Lost and Found Overflow

Please encourage your student to visit our Lost and Found rack (located in the Front Lobby) to claim all the jackets, sweatshirts, and other clothing items that have accumulated over the Fall semester. All remaining items will be donated to Goodwill on Thursday, December 17. Thank you!
