NationalCollegeDecisionDay1
(May 1)

Seniors, did you know you need to decide which college you are going to attend by May 1st?
  • Decision Day is the deadline to let most colleges know you are going to attend.
  • On that day, you'll be expected to pay your enrollment deposit to secure your spot at the college of your choice.
  • Check your MDCAPS account and accept any grants that you are awarded.
  • Bring your financial aid award letters to the CollegeTracks office as you receive them. We will estimate the costs and compare the results.
  • We can help you make a decision by May 1st!

Maranata Kassahun

Maranata applied to 10 colleges and has been accepted to 6 colleges! She has met with CollegeTracks to discuss her cost of attendance at each college and has taken an active step to apply to scholarships!  Way to go, Maranata!

1. What are you interested in studying in college and why?
I am interested in studying Pre-Med and that's because I love helping people with health issues.

2. What part of college are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to having helpful and skilled teachers that will help me build up my skills. When I get to college I also want to join clubs that will help me in my field of study so that I will be familiar with it.

3. Maranata's advice for Juniors:
Focus on your education because you want to get a good GPA since most colleges see your junior year GPA instead of your senior year GPA. Come to CollegeTracks because you will get a lot of information about colleges and you will get help to apply to colleges and other things that are important.
