Dear Avenel Residents:

Below please find some important Community information.

The 2018 National Golf Tournament
June 25 - July 1, 2018
TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm

The National Golf Tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods and  benefiting the TGR Foundation, will be held for a second consecutive year at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm from June 25th - July 1st, 2018. With the Tournament quickly approaching, the Association is excited to inform residents that The National is offering each Avenel household up to four (4) FREE daily grounds passes, each valid for access to the tournament during any one day (Thursday - Sunday). See details about this special offer below.

PARKING/COMMUNITY ACCESS:
The ACA will be distributing four (4) Avenel Resident Vehicle Passes to each household to be used during the week of the tournament. Passes will be mailed after June 5th. These passes will identify your vehicle as belonging to an Avenel resident and allow you to pass through check points more quickly. Avenel Guest Vehicle Passes will also be made available after June 5th at the ACA office.

Many residents have already notified the Association that they will be entertaining during the tournament. There will be no general parking in the immediate vicinity of the golf course or within the community and street parking is limited. Please consider asking guests to Uber and/or arrange for alternate transportation.

TICKETS:

The Association is pleased to announce that The National is offering up to four (4) FREE daily grounds tickets for each Avenel household for a limited time. Each ticket is valid for access to the tournament grounds any one day (Thursday - Sunday). To request your free tickets, email your name, address and telephone number to nationaltickets@tgrfoundation.org, along with the number of tickets you are requesting (up to 4 per household). You will then receive an email back with redemption instructions.

All requests must be submitted by June 1, 2018. Don't miss out on this special opportunity - request your tickets today!

Avenel residents also receive a special 15% off discount on a number of ticket options. To take advantage of this offer, visit The National ticket page HERE, select the day you are interested in attending, and use offer code: Neighbor18 in the appropriate box. All tickets are subject to space availability.

TOURNAMENT PREPARATION:
Preparation for the 2018 National is currently underway at the TPC Potomac. ACA Management has been in contact with tournament officials regarding minimizing the impact of the event on Avenel and our residents. However, residents will likely note an increase in activity at the TPC Potomac over the coming weeks as construction of the tournament infrastructure commences and supplies are delivered in advance of the tournament.

NOISE LEVEL RESTRICTIONS:
Please note that during the days of Wednesday, June 27th through Sunday, July 1st, no construction noise or activity will be permitted that could potentially reach the golf course and interfere with the course of play. If you have contractors working at your home, please be sure to notify them of these restrictions during the tournament.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Association will be sending additional information about the Tournament, including Avenel Resident Vehicle Passes, in a print mailer in June. As the tournament date approaches, please keep an eye on your mailbox and your email inbox for announcements from the ACA with information regarding the Tournament, tickets, traffic patterns and security.

The National Center for Children and Families
~ Clothing Drive ~

In doing our part to help the community at-large, ACA staff is participating in a clothing drive on behalf of The National Center for Children and Families. The NCCF, a non-profit organization, strives  to support the lives of vulnerable children, youth and families in the National Capital Region, including Montgomery County, and improve the quality of life which empowers their ability to thrive and to be self-sufficient.

ACA staff will be setting up a collection area in the A.M. Natelli Center from May 1 - May 31. If you wish to donate any clothing items, please drop them by the ACA office during the collection period. Most needed items include summer clothing (used/new) and socks and underwear for children (new).

If you prefer to make a donation by check, please make your check payable to "NCCF" and drop it off to the ACA office during the collection period. Your donation goes directly to the 44,000 children, youth and families the NCCF serves each year in the D.C. metro region.
