Finding Hope at HHC
We all know that our warmhearted staff
help to transform the lives of our guests, but they also have transformed the life of this sweet kitten, who was appropriately named "Hope" by staff.
When Hope landed at HHC, she had an
infected eye, ringworm, and a badly injured tail that had to be amputated. Shannon
Santini, Rachel Perkins, Teri Natoli and Mirca
Reyes decided to keep her. These staff members got her vet care and nursed her back to health. Shannon started a personal GoFundMe page to raise funds for her vet care. Mirca takes Hope home with her on the weekends, so Hope's not alone. Hope, like our guests, reminds us all that lives can be transformed with care and love. The emotional connection between animals and humans, just like the connection between human beings, has the power to heal and transform.
