Countdown to construction: Nov 2018!
After more than a decade of hard work, Squannacook Greenways is pleased to announce that we're on track to begin construction of the Squannacook River Rail Trail in November 2018! Our capital campaign has crossed the $128,000 mark, giving us the funds needed for construction. We have submitted our permitting application to MassWildlife's Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, and have begun preliminary consultation with Townsend and Groton's conservation commissions.
