IMERC Staff Changes
After working at NEWMOA for 12 years, the past 5 years as IMERC Coordinator, I have decided to take my career in another direction. I have accepted a job at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection working in the solid waste management and recycling program. 

My last day with IMERC/NEWMOA was February 28, 2019. In the interim, IMERC activities will be managed by Andy Bray and Jennifer Griffith. You are in good hands!
 
It has been a true pleasure working with the IMERC-member states, associations, and companies on mercury education initiatives and reduction efforts. I really enjoyed my time here and I wish nothing but the best for my colleagues, co-workers, and NEWMOA.

Thank you all for making these past 12 years happy ones.

Next Triennial Mercury-added Product Notification - 2018 Calendar Year!
EPA's  Final National Mercury Inventory and Reporting Rule  requires manufacturers and importers of mercury and mercury-added products to submit a report on mercury supply, use, and trade in the U.S. every three years. The first reporting period covers calendar year 2018 and is due July 1, 2019.  EPA's rule allows reporters to utilize IMERC's online e-filing system for a portion of this reporting.
IMERC is updating its online reporting cycle to conform with EPA's timeline. Public access to the e-filing system is unavailable while we implement these changes, but we expect to launch the updated version by May 30, 2019.  We will keep users updated as to when the system becomes available. 

In addition to the Notification requirements, companies must ensure that their mercury-added products sold in the U.S. meet states' labeling requirements and/or are in compliance with applicable phase-outs and product bans.
