his year's Regional Conference will focus on Mental Health Consultation and the impact on children, families and communities. Join us for this very important, day long conference to learn about strategies and systems to support our youngest Texans.
The Conference will feature Keynote Speaker - Allison Boothe Trigg, Ph.D.; Panel Discussions with State Agency Staff - Jeannie Young, Jacquie Porter and Stephanie Bonnet-Kramer; and Closing from Libby Doggett.

Remembering Dr. T. Berry Brazelton

As many of you may know, on March 13, 2018 our community lost a dear friend, a fierce infant advocate and a esteemed colleague, Dr. T. Berry Brazelton. Through his six decades of practice, Dr. Brazelton changed the way the world thinks about babies and young children. He leaves behind an astounding legacy.
Alongside The Brazelton Touchpoint Center's "Honoring Dr. T. Berry Brazleton: A Symposium and a Celebration" taking place in Boston on April 23rd, we encourage you to join us in celebration and honor of Dr. Brazelton's work.
There are many ways to do so, some ideas to consider:
- Plan a staff meeting to discuss and reflect on

- Plan a "brown bag lunch" with colleagues to reflect on his contributions to our understanding about what the baby brings to the relationship
- Plan a webinar or half day workshop, e.g. "What about the baby?"
- Read, discuss, and reflect on excerpts of Touchpoints Birth to Three (or another one of his 30+ books!)
- Read, discuss, and reflect on one of the many columns from Families Today, formerly syndicated by the New York Times, co-authored by T. Berry Brazelton, MD and Joshua Sparrow, MD.

In collaboration with The Miles Foundation, on March 20th we co-hosted our first of three 2018 Raising of Fort Worth event series!
The 2018 series is featuring nationally renowned speakers and local business leaders to explore the critical connections between early childhood and a strong workforce - supporting the Mayor, the Fort Worth Chamber, and the broader community in our collective work to build Strong Beginnings for a Brighter Future.
The March 20th event panel included:

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
Did you know that there are over 63,000 confirmed cases of child abuse in Texas each year? The trauma affects survivors for the rest of their lives and creates a cycle that can harm generations to come.
But for the first time in 3 years, child abuse related deaths in our state are on the decline, thanks to prevention programs like those funded by United Way.
And with help from grownups like you, we can protect the smallest, most defenseless members of our community. Please consider joining the United Way's #DearGrownups campaign and make Child Abuse Prevention Month really mean something this year. After all, if we grownups don't do it, who will?

April is Autism Awareness Month
Autism prevalence is now one in every 68 children in America. T
he puzzle ribbon was adopted in 1999 as the universal sign of autism awareness, and reflects the complexity of the autism spectrum. The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the condition. The brightness of the ribbon signals hope that through increased awareness of autism, early intervention, and access to appropriate services/supports, people with autism will lead full lives able to interact with the world on the own terms.how your support for people with autism by wearing the Autism Awareness Puzzle Ribbon - as a pin on your shirt, a magnet on your car, a badge on your blog, or even your Facebook profile picture - and educate folks on the potential of people with autism.
