Gotsch Named Indiana Regional Academic All-Star
Gotsch, who will attend University of Notre Dame in the fall, is at the top of his class with a 4.49 cumulative grade-point average
Marquette Catholic High School is proud to congratulate senior Tommy Gotsch on his recognition as an Indiana Regional Academic All-Star.

Gotsch was one of 50 selected from an elite group of 275 nominees throughout the state. He was honored Friday at the Indiana Academic All-Star Luncheon held in Indianapolis.

The senior, who will attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall, was allowed to bring a teacher he felt was instrumental in his success. Science teacher John Fettig accompanied Gotsch to Indy.

"It is with great honor that Tommy invited me to join him as he is recognized as an Indiana Regional Academic All-Star. I am extremely proud of what he has achieved during his time at Marquette. From teaching him in the classroom to coaching him in both basketball and soccer, Tommy is a perfect representation of what it means to be a student-athlete. His work ethic, focus, and discipline paired with his respect and humble personality will bring him continued success throughout life," Fettig said.

Gotsch is at top of his class by virtue of a 4.49 cumulative grade-point average. He'll graduate with summa cum laude honors next month.

The Indiana Academic All-Stars are presented by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).
