The Homestead Neighborhood Association normally meets the First Tuesday of every month, 7pm at the OHSU Child Development and Rehabilitation Center; 707 SW Gaines, Third Floor.

May meeting location change. Please note that the 7pm, May 1 Homestead meeting will be held in a different building than usual. To avoid confusion, we will gather at 7pm at the front doors of our usual meeting location -- the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center at 707 SW Gaines. At 7:05 pm, we will walk together the short distance (approximately 700 feet) to the new location.

The agenda will include the review and approval of Homestead's draft testimony to Council regarding the Residential Infill Project (RIP) and the nomination of board members for the June election. We are beginning the process of planning the Annual Homestead Picnic. We need volunteers! Please attend the May meeting if you have ideas or are interested in helping with is event.

Please check the area map (link below) to see a more comprehensive view of what it means for your entire neighborhood.

Transportation Improvements. Thank you to all who participated in the Homestead Transportation Priority Survey last May. These priorities were forwarded to the Marquam Hill Meter Revenue Committee. They have reviewed Homestead NA's priority list and selected six projects to fund, one of which is adding sidewalks between 11th and 13th along SW Gibbs. The project has now been set in motion.

At the request of the Marquam Hill Meter Revenue Committee, the City of Portland has initiated a project to add sidewalks to the north side of SW Gibbs Avenue, between 11th and 13th Avenue. The City is very early in the process, having only just identified a project manager. In future months they will need to reach out to the adjacent property owners as well as develop engineered plans so that the project can be constructed.
