Happy Valentine's Day, Alumni. We hope those of you in the northeast United States are slowly digging out from mother nature's latest winter punch. It might seem far away while the ground is covered in white but spring is around the corner! We have some great events on the horizon and we hope you can join us. Family and Friends Bingo

The Family and Friends of Holy Family University are hosting their annual BINGO event on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein. Tickets are $35 and include dinner and bingo. Doors open at 11:30am.

Roy G. Biv Run

The Class of 2014 is hosting a "color run." This will be a 5k course that goes through the Holy Family campus. Runners will be covered in a colorful powder as they move along the course.

Date: Sunday, March 23

Location: Stevenson Lane Residence parking lot

Time: 8:30am registration,

9:00am runners, 9:10am walkers

School of Education Reunion and Reception

All Education alumni are cordially invited to join fellow alumni, former faculty, and current students from the School of Education for an evening of networking and discussion. The School of Education Reunion and Reception will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the Education Technology Center on northeast campus. A panel discussion titled "Educators in Action: Challenges and Opportunities" will begin at 7pm.

Cost: $25 per person

20th Annual Scholarship Ball

We invite and welcome alumni to the 20th Annual Scholarship Ball. This event funds scholarships for current students and is one of the most important during the year. This will be Sister Francesca's last Scholarship Ball as President of Holy Family and we hope many alumni can attend to wish her well.

Tuskeegee Airmen Presentation

Holy Family will be hosting a very special presentation regarding the Tuskegee Airmen on Monday, February 24, at 7 PM in the ETC Auditorium. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American military aviators in the United States armed forces, flying thousands WWII missions in the service of our country. At that time, people of color in this country were still commonly subjected to mistreatment and indignities. The distinguished service of the Airmen and other African-Americans during the War was a significant step in closing the racial divide in America.

The story of the Tuskegee Airmen is such an important part of our history...and of America's ongoing struggle to appreciate diversity.

This presentation is free and open to the entire Holy Family community. We hope you can join us.
