Plans are underway for the 2nd Annual Biz Buzz Symposium.  Join us for an exciting line up of Speakers and networking opportunities.

This year the event will be held at Aggie Hall and will run from 11am until 6pm.  There will be an added element for marketing opportunities with a limited number of display booths with a business to busines focus being available.   Stay tuned for announcements and further details on Registration!

Adopt a Rider Program

The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce is proud to Sponsor the Ladysmith Tour de Rock - Adopt a Rider 2018 program!  This is a win win opportunity to show your support for this most inspirational fundraising event as well as promote your business.  
Your sponsorship gets you a sign with you or your businesses name and your adopted rider's name printed on, that can be held up by you or a volunteer that welcomes the riders into town on October 1st, and a picture taken with your rider.

BC Summer 
Games 
Is your business ready?

Today marks the start of the BC Summer Games! From July 19-22, thousands of athletes from every corner of the province will compete in a variety of sports at venues across the Cowichan Valley, including Ladysmith. 

Opening Ceremony:
Opening ceremonies start at 7:00pm at Laketown Ranch and everyone is encouraged to attend this free event. There is ample parking and general seating but you can also bring your own chair and find a grassy area to watch the entertainment.

Local Event Times: 
  • Field Lacrosse (Forrest Field): 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Sunday *medals awarded at 11:15 a.m.
  • Baseball (Holland Creek) 7:30 a.m. - 6:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Sunday
  • Beach Volleyball (Transfer Beach) 8:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 9:15 a.m. - 11 a.m. Sunday *medals awarded at 11:15 a.m.

"SONIC" | Hedgehog Films Inc
Filming in Ladysmith September 2018

Sonic the Hedgehog, a big-budget, major motion picture will begin filming in Ladysmith this fall.  This will be an exciting opportunity for our community but some disruptions and inconvenience should be expected.  To minimize these concerns please see the communique below from the film's Location Manager.   The Chamber of Commerce will do our very best to pass along any information we receive about this endeavor and we will try to assist in making the project as successful, fun and painless as possible for everyone.

 
Visitor Centre Update

Visitor Centre Hours:  We are now operating daily for  July and August  from 9:30am until 5:00pm.  
Ladysmith Days Parade

The Ladysmith Kinsmen Club, in conjunction with the Ladysmith Days Committee, would like to extend this invitation
to you and your organization to participate in our community's annual Ladysmith Days Parade. The "theme" this year
is "Seaside Celebration" ... the theme is not mandatory ... the entire weekend is meant for folks to just come out and have fun!
DATE: Saturday, August 4th, 2018
TIME: Parade Line-up starts at 7:00 am.
Judging begins at 8:30 am sharp
Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp
