Friday, May 11 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Teen Sharpie Tie-Dye and Mug Decorating! For grades 5 and up ONLY! Come make awesome tie-dye designs and decorate mugs with your friends. Bring as many white t-shirts, pillowcases, tank tops, etc. as you want. Mugs and snacks will be provided.

Monday, May 14 at 3:30 p.m. STEM Program. For grades 3 and up. Come test your engineering skills in a fun, STEM challenge. Please register. Not a drop off.

Saturday, May 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Louisa May Alcott Dinner Theatre. Join us for a dinner entertainment, Love from Louisa; Louisa May Alcott and the making of Little Women , at the Fife 'n Drum Restaurant on 53 Main Street in Kent to benefit the Library. A themed dinner at 7:00 p.m. will be followed by a staged reading in costume that will feature appearances by Louisa, her father Bronson Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Thoreau -- all in their own words. The dramatic presentation, which will trace the influences that led the author to the creation of the classic story of Little Women, was written and compiled by Georgianne Ensign Kent, and is directed by Jane Farnol. $60.00 per person. and we couldn't have done it without our wonderful team of volunteers.

2018 Car Raffle. The Kent Memorial will raffle a pristine 2003 BMW Z4 Roadster in a fund raising raffle project starting on Memorial Day. The sterling grey convertible has very low mileage, and includes five speed manual transmission, fuel injection, 2.5 liter, 184 horsepower and a six-cylinder engine. Tickets are $20. Raffle tickets are being sold in the Library and during the annual Library Book Sale. The car will be parked in front of the Library. The winning ticket will be drawn on at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 at the conclusion of the 42nd Annual Kent Pumpkin Run. Information is available on the Library's website. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

Chess. Our chess boards and tables, inside and out are open to young and old, beginners to advanced. Team combinations are encouraged - for instance, grandparent and parent-child, co-workers, friends. All are welcome to use our chess equipment.
