Ready to get Creative?!
The "Creativity Incubator" - a partnership between the New York State Council on  the Arts Museum Program and GHHN - is coming  to the five boroughs for our FINAL workshop!

What is the NYSCA/GHHN Creativity Incubator?
It's a chance to put all your pre-conceptions aside, and use your imagination to experiment and explore different ways to  engage with different audiences. The program is hosted by a museum which becomes a lab - we use that space and the museum's collections to brainstorm ways to be more interactive and relevant.

Activities are led by a "Museum Maverick" - in the past we have worked with Linda Norris and Rainey Tisdale, authors of Creativity in Museums, Franklin Vagnone of Twisted Preservation, Lia Tamborra from Museum Hack, Gonzalo Casals of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, and for our New York City session we will be bringing back Andrea Jones of Peak Experience Lab, who led our Southern Tier session in June 2018.   You can read more about  her work here:  www.peakexperiencelab.com

One workshop was held in each of the regions to a sold-out crowd of museum professionals around the state! We visited the Hudson Valley, Long Island and the Mohawk Valley in 2017. In 2018, we were in Western NY and the Southern Tier. We held our first session of 2019 up in the North County and for our seventh and final workshop, we're headed to Metro NYC.  Click here to see photos from the workshops:
Have you heard about the NYSCA/GHHN Creativity Incubator Grant Program?  Coming in 2020, this program allows for applicants to ask for up to $5,000 to test out and experiment or implement new programmatic ideas.  Priority for this grant program will be given to those who have participated in any of the seven Creativity Incubator workshops, held from 2017 through 2019.

Psst...Our past workshops were sold out (with a waiting list!) - so make sure to secure your spot as soon as you can!

The NYSCA/GHHN Creativity Incubator is made possible with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
