Christ the King Family of Forgiven:

Pastor Goble and I will seek to keep you informed as things change with information about our worship services in the face of continuing coronavirus concerns.

During this time of uncertainty, keep in mind — Christ the King is a strong community of believers, a family of faith held together by the work of the Holy Spirit, not bound by walls or by human limitations. Our Lord and CTK lives within each of us wherever we are, offering comfort and strengthening our faith even in the most stressful of times.

  • After much prayer and consideration of our neighbors both near and far, we have decided to offer live-streaming only for all of our worship services until further notice. Tune in on Wednesdays at 7PM, and on Sunday mornings at 8:30AM.
  • At the end of the 8:30am live-streaming Sunday service, a link will be provided for viewing the Adult Bible Study. We encourage you to continue to be faithful in worship in the study of God’s Word; and to encourage your fellow members to join us for Wednesday evening and Sunday morning worship, and Adult Bible Study, all online.
  • Holy Communion is very important and special to many of our CTK family. In the weeks ahead, if you feel the need for private Communion, please contact one of the Pastors, by email or cell phone, and we will be happy to accommodate your request at a time that works for you and us.
  • Children’s Sunday School material will be available to parents for use at home, and Confirmation Class will continue via email and the internet.

Tithes and Offerings—This act of worship is vital both to your personal walk with God and to our CTK family. So here are your options for continuing to faithfully give to our Lord and His Church:

  • Mail your tithe to the church at 5296 Park Ave, Memphis, 38119;
  • Download the Give Plus App and set up your tithe via this safe and secure giving tool;
  • Go to ctkmemphis.com and click on “Give Online” in the upper right corner; Contact Christy at the church office if you need help and she will walk you through it.

For the time being, all ministry meetings and fellowship gatherings are postponed. We will do everything necessary to carry out our Lord’s mission until we can meet in person again. The work of our Lord goes on with great power and glory to our gracious God, while Christ the King Lutheran Church will continue to be sensitive and care-filled to the needs of its members and the community.

For further updates and important details, you can find information in any of the following ways: Friday Reminders, CTK’s App and Facebook page, and our website (ctkmemphis.com).

As always, if you are in need of assistance, please contact the church office (901-682-8404 or churchoffice@ctkmemphis.com) and let us know. We will do our best to attend to your concerns. In addition to our Operation Love Your Neighbor, in which we are reaching out to our most vulnerable members to offer a helping hand, we want all our members to know that we are keeping their welfare in mind.

Pray for us as we pray for you! Pastor Goble and I hate not seeing you in person during worship. We look forward to someday soon once again gathering with our spiritual family here at CTK in worship, study, and fellowship in person to sing and praise the Lord together. What a wonderful day that will be! In the meantime, we’ll carry on and do the best we can, to the glory of God.

The Lord bless you and keep you,
The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you,
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

In Christ,
Pastor Chuck and Pastor Mark
