Happy St. Patrick's Day

Dia duit (Hello in Irish)

The FCTL is reaching out to share some resources that can help the cause during our current stage of response to the Covid-19 crisis. The first thing I would like to suggest is to visit the Resources for Online Delivery of Courses   site put together by our Distance Education and Instructional Design (DEID) folks. There is a link to "Online Teaching Resources" at the "Mymoreheadstate" landing page.

Today we will take a look at the Strategies for Remote Teaching link and offer some additional resources. At this link you will find information on synchronous vs. asynchronous facilitation of your courses, backing up files, determine schedule changes and communicating effectively. Here are a few more resources:

Backing up computer files
For assistance on Backing up your computer files here are some resources offered by our knowledgeable folks in IT:

  • From ANY device, a current MSU employee or student may access Office365 applications by opening a browser and going to office.com.
  • Click on the ‘Sign In’ button and you will be redirected to an MSU page where you will login with your normal MSU credentials ([email protected] & current password).
  • Once you are logged in, you will be able to access all of the Office365 applications….Outlook, OneDrive, etc.

Here is a link to a ‘Beginner’s Guide for OneDrive for Windows’ on YouTube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkf1p1Y6rFQ). Users may want to Google ‘OneDrive videos’ as there are many online resources for training videos for Office365 applications. If there are questions please contact the IT Help Desk at 606-783-4357

Okay, that's it for this issue. Have a read, ruminate on the material, write down some thoughts, communicate with others, make a plan and then work to make the plan happen.

As you know, We're here to help the cause so if you need assistance, need to chat, or want to share some resources, reach out.

Enjoy St. Patty's Day,

Daryl
