New Youth Voice Training and Behavior Brainstorm from Project RISE *
Youth Voice Training from Project RISE
Are you providing children and youth with authentic, meaningful choices throughout your program? Does your program reflect the input of the youth involved? Participants will learn how to provide meaningful choices within activities and opportunities for youth input within the youth program itself. Take a plan to implement back to your program and learn more about items on the SEL-PQA that will help you increase your CAT scores. The training takes place December 15, from 10 a.m. - noon.
Register for this training on Trust Academy in order to receive the Zoom meeting link.
Behavior Brainstorm *
What has it been like for your staff and the children in your program to be back at your after-school site or as you continue virtual programming? Have the children/youth been acting out? Have they been more quiet than usual, or are they overjoyed and restless? Project RISE will host a brainstorming session to share the ups and downs of coming back after lockdown and how this has affected children’s behavior.
Join Project RISE’s founder and child psychologist Dr. David Reitman and Behavior Management Coach Darrenn Cadet via Zoom on Thursday, December 10, from 12-1 p.m. Share your challenges and success stories with your colleagues and help Project RISE better serve our provider community.

Fill Out Sesame Street Survey and Get Gift Card!
Over the next year, Sesame Street is partnering with Thriving Mind to help children and families manage tough times by hosting workshops for providers and sharing resources for programs that directly serve the community. One important component of our work together will be an evaluation of Sesame Street’s resources.
As part of the evaluation, researchers from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) will ask individuals to complete an online survey. This will be the first of two surveys that we they will ask some to fill out– one near the beginning of the Sesame Street campaign launch, and a second survey after the campaign. The survey will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. Participants will receive a $25 gift card by email after completing the survey.
Please click on this link to fill out the Google sign-up form and indicate your interest in the survey by November 30.
Approximately 85-100 people in the community will be surveyed. They will receive an email to complete the survey. If you have questions, you can email the research team at SesameCampaignStudy@air.org directly.
