2019 Annual Fundraising Cornhole Tournament Save The Date & Next Planning Committee Meeting
Mark your calendars for the 2019 YMF Fundraising Cornhole Tournament! This annual tournament helps fund YMF's upcoming year of monthly meetings, technical tours, community and educational outreach events and much more! The tournament may not be until October but planning for the event is starting now. If you've ever wanted to get involved in all the behind the scenes work that goes into this annual event, or want to help out again, the next tournament committee planning meeting is  Thursday, July 11th, 6:00PM at Angel's Trumpet Ale House (2339 N. 44th Street Phoenix, 85008). If you have any questions about the tournament or helping with the planning committee contact Andrew Moreno ( amoreno@aztec.us), 602-659-9309.
 
Phoenix Branch/YMF Joint Happy Hour - July 18, 2019
Come cool off with a great networking event with ASCE Phoenix Branch and YMF!  Wear your favorite sports team clothing, and bring a canned food item to donate to the St. Mary's Food Bank.

July Member of the Month - Baraa Tareq
This month's feature member is Baraa Tareq who works in water resources as an EIT at Entelus, Inc.  Thank you, Baraa for your hard work and dedication to the group. Check out our interview with Baraa below:

Where do you work: Entellus, Inc
What is your position: Engineering in Training (Water resources group)
What has been your favorite project: Heritage District project, I worked on floodplain analysis, Drainage issues, and modeling using HEC-RAS. I loved this project because I worked on it from A to Z
What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still talk about to this day: My uncle asked me to wake up his son, I took at container full with cold water and dropped it on his face in bed.
If you could control your life with a remote would you rather have a pause button or a rewind button:  Rewind button, to enjoy all the things I missed
What is your favorite book or TV show: My favorite tv show is "Car Masters" on Netflix
Your favorite YMF event(s): City of Phoenix signal shop tour
Fun or interesting facts about yourself: I love playing guitar at home, work on sport cars, swimming, and getting to know people.
