International Board Position Opens August 2018

This is the last opportunity to apply for International Board (IB) member for WILPF US. All application materials, including letters of recommendation, must be
received by
April 22.
The Nominating Committee invites you to apply to serve as the WILPF-US member on the WILPF IB. However, due to possible changes in the International WILPF constitution (to be voted on at the International Congress), the duties, title, and term of this position may change somewhat -- or it may not exist. It could become the International member/representative from the Western Hemisphere.
Normally, t
his is a three-year, Board-appointed position that is open as of August 24, 2018. The applicant selected by the US Board may have to run for a further election at the International Congress. Currently it is set to begin just at the end of the WILPF International Congress, August 24, 2018, a
nd end at the end of the next International Congress three years later
.
Each candidate must be a current member and have been a WILPF US member for at least two years.
In addition to serving as an ex-officio member of the WILPF-US Board,
t
he IB Member:
- Attends all meetings of the International Board (some of which are held in person
- Attends the International Congress meetings
- Serves on the WILPF-US Section Finance Committee and on the International Standing Finance Committee
- Reports on US Section activities to International and reports to the WILPF-US Board on International campaigns and other activities and decisions
