Help Your Employees Opt-in

It's not new for us to hear from long-time public employees who say, "I wish someone had told me years ago about Ohio Deferred Compensation, so I could have started saving earlier."

This is something we're working hard to fix. One way to ensure people know about Ohio DC if for you to require newly hired employees to complete a simple form to opt-in or out of the Ohio DC Program. This process assures that they're aware of the benefits of Ohio DC. If you don't already, we encourage you to consider adopting the same practice by using the Opt-in Enrollment Form.
  1. All new employees learn about  tax-deferred saving for retirement early in their career.
  2. The form will help you document that you (as the employer) have met  your fiduciary responsibility to educate your employees on their retirement benefits.
  3. The ability for you to  attract and retain key employees because of their increased awareness of your comprehensive benefits package.
If you'd like to learn more about the Opt-in Enrollment Form, click on the link, take a look at our website at  Ohio457.org  or feel free to contact our staff at  [email protected]  to find out how we can help.
