Mexican Army in Texas

Learn from archeologist, historian and author, Dr. Gregg Dimmick, how weather played a pivotal role for the Mexican Army's defeat during the Texas Revolution. Dr. Dimmick is the author of the highly acclaimed book, Sea of Mud, which completely modified the perception of the retreating Mexican Army following the Battle of San Jacinto. Learn More

Latin Jazz with Russ Hewitt
Saturday, April 21 @ 7:30pm
 
Latin sounds will fill the air when the Russ Hewitt Band combines lightning guitar runs with unique Flamenco, Brazilian and Rumba rhythms. Flamenco dancer Julia Alcatana will also grace the stage with spectacular selections. The band is comprised of Bob Parr on bass, Wana Hong on violin, Efren Guzman on drums, and Miguel Antonio on guitar, and Jose Rossy on percussion. Learn More

Summer STEAM Camps for kids
All Classes 9am - noon
Fee $75
June 11-15: Stop Motion Storytelling
This hands-on camp will explore storytelling and film technology to create animated short films using original artwork. More Information and Registration
 
June 18-22:  Upcycling Art Installation
Learn more about how artists work with uncommon materials and about the recycling stream, and create our own outdoor public art installation on the final day of camp. More information and Registration

July 23-27: Weaving and Technology
Join us in Allen's Historic Train depot as we combine design thinking and art to explore the connection between weaving, technology and how it all ties back to Allen's history. More Information and Registration

July 30-Aug 3: Dinosaur Animatronics Camp
L earn how to operate a life-sized dinosaur animatronic unit and get a glimpse into how animatronic dinosaur exhibits are created for museums and zoos. More Information and Registration
Camps, June-August, runs from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
 
Rising Star & Young Actors Camps cost $225.  
Interns Camps cost $115. 
Teen Production Workshops - 13 to18 year olds only - cost $150
