PRINCIPAL'S LETTER

Dear H oly Name Families,

Wow- what an amazing weekend we had. Not only was our 2nd Annual Video Game Night a fun success but so was our Inaugural 1K/5K San Francisco Tough Cookie Run. Thank you to all of the parents who led and organized the events. It was so great to see everyone on Sunday having fun while exercising and meeting our San Francisco neighbors who came to take part in our race!

Our Final Parent Guild Meeting is tomorrow- Wednesday, April 18th from 6-8PM. We hope to see all of our families at this meeting! All classes that have at least 70% family attendance will receive popsicles next week, and the class with the greatest percentage of parent participation will receive an extra recess next week. All parents who attend will receive a free dress pass for their children! Tomorrow evening, two front row tickets to Friday night's performance of Annie will be raffled off as well! We really hope that you can attend- we have a lot of information that we would like to share with our families. Additionally, our 8th graders are excited to share two musical numbers with you before we install our 2018-2019 Parent Guild! Please remember that our 8th Grade Meeting will take place right after our Parent Guild Meeting in the Science Lab.

Parent Guild Elections Update- Thank you to all of our parents who voted in this year's Parent Guild Elections. Prior to elections we had decided that each position would have co-officers. What we did not anticipate is that the voting results would be so equal! Since there was a very small percentage in the difference in votes, we have decided that we will have a Parent Guild of 20 members this year. This will provide extra support to you and to the school! Additionally, this will allow us to truly look at how the Board has traditionally been structured and how events have been run, and we will have the manpower to make any necessary changes so that we can continue to grow and thrive as a community.

Congratulations to our 2018-2019 Parent Guild Board!
  • Co-Presidents- Dina D'Agostino and Mariel Myers
  • Co- 1st Vice Presidents- Ilona Barskaya, Chelsea Coco, and Monica Syler
  • Co- 2nd Vice Presidents- George Arriola and Christine Ignatius
  • Co- Corresponding Secretaries- Liz Ibalio, January Tenorio, Kris Toscanino, and Norma Tse
  • Co- Secretaries- Michelle Remolona, Cathy Estelle, Conrad Alano, Angela Mapa, and Shannon Jarman
  • Co- Treasurers- Ledia Ouyang and Myra Alcaide
  • Co-Parliamentarians- Jenni Lehnert and Jen LesCallett

We hope to see you  Friday and Saturday at our Annie Musical- the kids sound amazing! Additional tickets will be available at the door.

Summer School: Please remember that Summer School Registration ends this Friday, April 20th. As of now our numbers are low. If we continue to have low registration as of 3PM this Friday we will need to cancel our summer school program. A decision will be made on Monday regarding Summer School.

We probably don't say this enough- it is a true joy working with your children. They make us smile and laugh constantly. What a blessing your children are in our lives. Thank you for raising them to be happy and kind kids!

Thanks,
Natalie Cirigliano, Principal

Life is like a wheel, always turning and always evolving.
Sometimes you fall down,
sometimes you deflate.
