Puesta del Sol Drama Club

Puesta del Sol PTA and Studio East presents: 
A Virtual Production: Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies

The show will go on, even during COVID! 

Registration opened November 6th
Deadline: Monday, November 23rd

Puesta del Sol PTA is sponsoring a virtual drama club this year!  
We are partnering with Studio East to create an edited, pre-recorded musical called "Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies."  

Registration has been extended and is open for 3rd, 4th and
5th graders only.

Space is limited to 25 students and the cost is $150/student. 

Please email drama@puestadelsolpta.org if you need financial assistance.

Join or Renew your PTA Membership!

Congratulations to Natalie Danielson who won our first PTA Membership Giveaway! For renewing their PTA membership in October, Natalie's family won a Book Basket with school age Spanish books! 
We will have a drawing for the Board Game Basket Giveaway (for the families that joined by October 30th) at our next virtual Bedtime Stories event .

Puesta del Sol Elementary provides a wonderful academic environment, with hard working teachers and staff to educate our children-- but the school does not do this alone. We as parents are vital to providing support by volunteering our time and resources to our child's school.

Puesta del Sol PTA helps support our school by sponsoring academic programs (Passport Club, Drama Club, and more), providing stipends for classroom and library expenses, providing ways for families to stay connected with the PTA Directory access (only available to members), communication about school news and events, and PTA discounts on activities and services.

Coffee with the Principal

Please join us for the upcoming PTA Principal Coffee with Sr. Shearer! 

Date: Wednesday, December 2nd
Time: 6:30-7:30 PM via Teams

Along with sharing updates and providing time for questions and answers, Sr. Shearer will be asking you to share your perspectives and how you define our 3 key family priorities: that families feel (1) informed, (2) supported, and (3) empowered. 

We recognize that each of these may have different definitions for individuals. The goal is to gather your feedback, and identify themes and threads so that the Building Leadership Team can best organize next steps in support of family engagement.

To attend this event, open Teams on your student's district-issued iPad or laptop. You will find access to the Principal Coffee on their Teams calendar.

Meals 2 Go
The Meals2Go program, offered by our Nutrition Services team, is designed to provide a FREE breakfast and lunch option for families to access for their children.  Families have two options to access meals on school days:

Meals are provided at no cost thanks to the extension of a nationwide waiver authorized by USDA. This waiver will be in effect for the entire 2020-21 school year.

In this day of school closures, distance learning and uncertainty, one thing remains the same: Our willingness to work together for the benefit of all the students, teachers and families of the Bellevue School District community. 

Clickathon was a great success and our students have much to celebrate.  Because of gifts from our generous donors, our students will get the BEST possible education including: cutting-edge computer science lessons, robotics, more staff trained to help students with anxiety and depression online, funding family Connection Centers, providing digital copies of culturally responsive books for grades 1-5, and much more.
