The Arc of New Jersey is proud to be featured in the Summer 2017 issue of State Advocacy Matters. This publication, released by The Arc US, highlights legislative and regulatory work impacting people with I/DD throughout the country. From our efforts to protect Medicaid to our fight to increase wages for Direct Support Professionals, The Arc of New Jersey received numerous acknowledgements of our advocacy activities in this past quarter.

Mission to Transition

What Happens After My Child's School Entitlement Ends?
 program has added new dates for its free Parent Forums and Opportunity Expos. Parent Forums include workshops on transition planning, the continuum of community services, financial planning and eligibility requirements for state services. Opportunity Expos feature a variety of exhibitors including: state and county government entities and community service providers.

In New Jersey, October 17 is the last day to register to vote ahead of the November election.
