Flood Update

The Mississippi River is continuing to rise. It's currently projected to reach 16.9 feet by Sunday, July 1^st.

The restrooms, office hours, dock water, electrical and fuel dock hours are status quo at this time. The pumpout remains closed.

Overnight Slip Rental

If your FOURTH OF JULY events include boating and you want to avoid the crowds and the frustrating wait at the public launch ramps, rent an overnight slip at SUNSET MARINA. July 3^rd through July 8^th, stay one night and get the SECOND NIGHT FREE!

Call the office or visit the website at rigov.org/marina to make advance reservations. Slips can also be assigned at the fuel dock.

Red, White and Boom for Boaters

The Schwiebert Riverfront Park Boat Docks will be open for boaters to enjoy during this year's 2018 Red White and Boom event held in Downtown Rock Island on Tuesday, July 3rd.

The docks, with 23 slips, will be available on a first come-first serve basis and no reservations for slips will be taken. The docks will close at 8:45 pm for the fireworks show and boats will not be able to enter or leave the docks until after the fireworks show has finished.

There will be a river closure around the firework barges from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. For those intending to watch the fireworks spectacle from the Mississippi River in a boat, please follow all directions on event day from official boats including the United States Coast Guard and local law enforcement agencies. Boaters can be stationed up Sylvan Slough or on the far side of the Centennial Bridge parallel to Davenport's Centennial Park to view the show from the River.

We encourage boaters to come into the park and enjoy the live music, food and family fun.

All people that arrive by boat and would like to enjoy the event will be given a wristband. This wristband will allow the person to re-access the docks to get back on their boat. Extra wristbands will not be given out to the public to access the boat docks.

Half Price Seasonal Slips Rates

Beginning July 16^th, seasonal slip rates will be 1/2 price.

If you currently lease a slip, tell your family and friends and you'll earn a referral fee for this season when they rent a slip!

No Wake, Please

Just a reminder that Lake Potter and the channel connecting the lake with the Mississippi River is a No Wake Zone.

Boats should operate at or below idle speed.

If you have an emergency situation after the office has closed, you may call the regular office number

They will contact the appropriate person for marina emergencies.
