Congratulations to AE Natural Meats, a family-run farm in Mount Albert, for receiving the Excellence in Small Business Award from the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce earlier this month.
We recently talked with co-owner Judie Zajac about their great success over the years.
"People who wanted this sort of product started coming to us, and it got bigger and bigger," Judie shares, "then last year we really started making more of a go of it, and joined the Chamber of Commerce, which has been instrumental in growing our business." Read more on our blog.

Congratulations to chef-extraordinaire
Joshna Maharaj, who earlier this month, launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her mission to improve food in
public institutions (e.g. hospitals, schools) and write a book on the important topic.
"Part compelling narrative, part manifesto, this book will be an inspiration & blueprint for a global institutional food revolution," the Kickstarter page reads.
Joshna has just successfully reached her Kickstarter goal, and like many, we are excited to see this project come to life!
