We're about to hit the ground running with more greenway projects!
Antiquity Greenway construction will begin in early October and completion is targeted for
late spring/early summer 2019. The 0.6-mile trail will connect downtown Cornelius to the existing Rocky River Greenway in Davidson, skirting the north side of Antiquity and including a neighborhood connection on South Street near the covered bridge. Two more projects,
McDowell Creek Greenway (Phase II), from Westmoreland Road to Magnolia Plaza, and
Plum Creek Greenway, from Hough High to the Davidson Greenway, are nearly ready to go. Up next will be the
Smithville-to JV Washam Greenway. This 1.6-mile greenway will be built along with a 0.7-mile multi-use path along Westmoreland Road, and a restoration project for Upper McDowell Creek.
Join us for a public information and input session at the Community Room in Town Hall on Tuesday, October 2, 6-8 p.m., in a drop-in format.
