Pet Blessing
Sunday at Our 9:30AM Service
This Sunday, we will commemorate the feast of Saint Francis with a blessing of the animals at the 9:30AM service!
All animals are welcome (Bring your humans too!) to sit with their families at this worship service. Owners: please keep dogs leashed and other animals caged as appropriate. Favorite stuffed animals, and photos of pets who would rather not travel to church, are welcome too.
A section of pews will be designated as a pet-free zone. The 8:00AM service this day will be pet-free.
Those who have lost a pet in the past year are invited to bring a favorite photo or memento for prayer and blessing.

Celebrating its 94th annual fall sale with all 31 departments open, this is the longest running sale in Greater Chicago. Merchandise fills two buildings and multiple tents.

October Collection for NT Food Pantry 
We want to start this year off with a bang, so we encourage every family to contribute to the Pantry this month, either by bringing something or by purchasing items with cash at church that day. This month we are collecting: soups, chili, and crackers. Please bring your items to the Prevost Cloister on Sunday, October 7 and help us support the New Trier Township Food Pantry as they serve hundreds of our neighbors each month!

Christ Church Hosts Families
from Family Promise October 21-28
Christ Church is preparing to host a new group of transitionally homeless families here
 in Church House for the week of October 21-28.
This has become one of our most important parish outreach ministries. It's a special opportunity for everyone in our parish to work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in crisis.
While they are with us, we provide these families safe shelter, healthy meals, hospitality and fellowship. And we will need lots of help!
Families, individuals and youth of all ages can sign up individually or in teams to help with:
- Setup and Cleanup
- Evening Meals
- Evening Activities
- Overnight Hosting
- Fellowship and Hospitality

Soon we will provide more details about how you can help - make sure to watch for the Sign-up Genius. But for now, mark October 21-28 on your calendar now!

Christ Church Creative Dance 
Why should your kids have all the fun?
Here's YOUR chance to dance!
Come join us for a fun, non-competitive dance class right here at Christ Church.
While
your kids are at choir or sports or some other activity, you can get your groove on with other adults in the community. Class will be held on Mondays, 4:45-5:45,
October 8-Nov. 26.
We are ALL dancers - no experience required! Open to the community, so bring a friend!

Youth Ministry Brunch & Brainstorm -
This Sunday
Please join us this Sunday, October 7 at 10:45AM in the McClain Room to eat and discuss everything youth ministry related. Youth, their parents, supportive adults, and families with rising youth are invited. (Pets are welcome, too!) New Youth Events: Note Card Making for Christmas Angels 
This year the youth will make and sell note cards to raise funds for Christmas Angels. Please help us create the cards at 10:40AM on Sunday, October 14 and 21. Then, help us sell the cards after worship on Sunday, November 4!

Family Promise Chicago North Shore

Family Promise is one of our all-parish outreach efforts and we look forward to hosting again on October 21-28 which is National Family Promise Week! For now we want to invite you to come to the kickoff event on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 3-5:00PM at Temple Jeremiah in Northfield.
