Tips to Keep Your Home Safe for All

June 2019

Home Healthsmith was  excited to have a visit from the  SBA's Acting Administrator, Chris Pilkerton this past month!  In a follow up from Matthew Spoehr, Lead Economic Development Specialist from the Rhode Island District Office "The Administrator was incredibly impressed and loved his time with you.  He spoke about it to a room full of bank presidents and CEO's at a luncheon right after in fact."

We also just finished a very exciting elevator project in Boston, MA.  Check out the pictures below of this stunning glass elevator hoistway.

The lazy days of summer are upon us.  Heat illnesses are of special concern to senior citizens, because older adults are much more affected by summer heat.  When we age, our bodies become less efficient at regulating temperature for a couple of reasons.  Seniors over 65 don't sweat as much as younger adults, which unfortunately is one of the body's most important heat-regulation mechanisms.  It is important to stay hydrated.

If you are interested in learning more about the various types of accessibility please give us a call to schedule a presentation or stop by our facility at 207 High Point Ave., Unit 2 in Portsmouth, RI.

Home Healthsmith Elevator Project - Spring 2019
Boston, MA

We just finished this absolutely stunning residential elevator project in Boston, MA.  This job presented very some unique challenges in regards to the installation of the elevator components into an All GLASS HOISTWAY.  By working closely with the General and Glass Contractor we were able to overcome these obstacles to deliver to the client a very unique and visually appealing elevator for their home.

Their choices include open-plan designs and robust lighting systems, the 2019 U.S. Houzz Kitchen Trends Study finds...

Which areas of your home do you think about when you consider aging? For many people, a home's entrance, stairs and bathrooms may come to mind. And, in fact, nearly 3 out of 5 (56 percent) baby boomers address aging-related needs as part of master bathroom remodels, according to Houzz data.
